What we'd do differently next time

  • Start procurement earlier in December to flatten the March–April spending spike.
  • Build a formal pest-monitoring schedule from week one rather than reactively.
  • Lock the planned budget in a versioned document before the first purchase.
  • Capture donor conversion data (not just dollars) at the event itself.
  • Plan one extra contingency week in May to absorb AP-exam overlap.
  • Photograph each phase systematically for a stronger portfolio archive.
